Health and Safety Technician

The presence of a Health and Safety Technician is mandatory in any company that employs even a single worker (Law 3850/2010 & 1586/1985), with the aim of ensuring the health and safety of every employee within the company.

The Health and Safety Technician serves as the primary advisory body for the employer on issues to employee health, safety and the prevention of workplace accidents.

Their responsibilities are advisory in nature, providing guidance and advice to the employer on matters related to eployee health and safety, as well as the prevention of workplace accidents.

In the contex of overseeing and improving workplace conditions:

• They conduct thorough inspections of all work areas to ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations and to prevent workplace accidents. Their checks are based on the current Health and Safety laws.

• They identify potential workplace hazards and record the necessary preventive measures to control risks and ensure the safety of employees.

• They guide and oversee the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

• They provide clear and detailed work safety instructions and ensure that all employees are well-informed about them.

• They supervise fire safety drills and alarm procedures to confirm that all employees are prepared for any emergencies

• They investigate the causes of workplace accidents in accordance with Article 15 of Law 3850/2010 and propose solutions to prevent similar incidents, documenting them in the company's safety technician logbook.

• After completing the inspections they provide the employer with a verbal report on their findings and recommend corrective and improvement actions.

• They assist in the development and implementation of health and safety training programs for employes

• They educate and guide employees on ho to mitigate workplace risks and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations within the company.

• All suggestions and observations are recorded in the company's designated suggestion book.
